How To Install bdsup2sub++ On Ubuntu 16.04

The bdsup2sub++ is a subtitle conversion tool for video streams. It converts from Blu-ray PGS SUP to DVD SUB or SUP. It can also add a delay or change the time stamps. In this tutorial, we shall cover the ground on the installation process of bdsup2sub++.   

 

Installation process

To start the installation process, add the repository and run the command. 

root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:djcj/hybrid
Hybrid is a multi platform (Linux/Mac OS X/Windows) Qt based frontend for a bunch of other tools which can convert nearly every input to x264/x265/Xvid/VP9/... + ac3/ogg/mp3/aac/flac inside an mp4/m2ts/mkv/webm/mov/avi container, a Blu-ray or an AVCHD structure.

Now the repository is installed. Update the repo in the system by running the following command.

The package has been successfully installed. For opening the package, type the bdsup2sub in the search window. The Package will appear.

Now you can see the application and the video conversion works can be done in the work area

For removing the package, run the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get remove bdsup2sub++ -y
