Darktable is an open source photography workflow application and raw developer for a virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them. Installation
Add the repository of Darktable using PPA
root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release
" Fairly Stable" releases for Darktable
Do not install a more recent version of Lensfun using another PPA as it will likely cause issues due the API changes. The lensfun package for Xenial on this PPA already has new lenses patched in.
Xenial (16.04 LTS) has some extra library updates available, as some relevant libraries shipped by Canonical for Xenial are fairly dated.
