To install Entangle 0.7.1 on Linux Mint 18.3

Entangle is an open-source camera control tool which allows its users to take photos with a digital camera which is controlled by the computer. All the camera settings can be controlled through the Entangle tool. In this tutorial, we can see the process to install Entangle on Linux Mint 18.3


Installing Entangle

First, make sure you add the essential repository for the Entangle installation by making use of the following command.

linuxhelp ~ # add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway

Once it is done, you need to update the system repository in the following manner.

Now install the entangle using the following command

linuxhelp ~ # apt-get install entangle

Once it is done, you need to open your  application, so go to Menu > Search > Entangle 
done


Once it is done, you need to connect to a camera to see if it works.

If you want to remove entangle, you can run the following command. 

linuxhelp ~ # apt-get remove entangle

Reading state information... Done
The following package was automatically installed and is no longer required:
  libgexiv2-2
Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove it.
