To install Krita 4.1.1 on MX 17
Krita is a free and open source digital painting tool designed for concept artists, illustrators, matte and texture artists, and the VFX industry. Installation

Update the system repository using the following command

Install the Krita package using the following command

root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get install krita -y
