To Install Opera Browser on Ubuntu
Opera browser is a fast and user-friendly web browser that blocks ads without any add-ons. It allows the user to get rich content from an internet. Installation of the Opera browser is explained in this article.
Installation of Opera Browser
First run the below command to download and add the key file to the system.
root@linuxhelp:~# wget -O - http://deb.opera.com/archive.key | sudo apt-key add -

Next create the new repository file by using the below command.
root@linuxhelp:~# vim /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opera.list
Now add the entry.
Entry:
deb http://deb.opera.com/opera-stable/ stable non-free
Then update the added repositories with the below command.
root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get update

To open the opera browser type “ opera” in the terminal.

Home page of Opera browser will display as given below.
Here you can able to browse.
To view downloads, click on menu and select downloads option.
Here you can view the downloaded files.
Click on menu and select About Opera option to see the browser version.
Opera browser version details will display as given below.
To change settings, click on menu and select settings option.
Here you can block the ads.
