How to install SortImg on Ubuntu 16.04

SortImg is a tool to help users in sorting a collection of images into multiple folders and also resizes the images. This tutorial will explain on how to install SortImg on Ubuntu 16.04. 

 

Installation procedure

Before starting the installtion, add the repo in the target system. 

root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway
Every photographer needs some tools...

Press [ENTER] to continue or ctrl-c to cancel adding it

The repository is added successfully. Now update the repo using the apt-get update command.

Now install the SortImg package and press y to continue with the installation procedure. 

root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get install sortimg -y

For opening the application, enter the package name in the terminal and run the command. 

root@linuxhelp1:~# sortimg


sortimg

And for removing the SortImg package, execute the following command and press y to continue with the uninstallation process. 

root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get remove sortimg -y
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
sortimg
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 475 not upgraded.
After this operation, 484 kB disk space will be freed.
(Reading database ... 176598 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing sortimg (0.1-1dhor~xenial) ...

Wasn't that an easy installation procedure? SortImg also supports dragging and dropping in the standard windows explorer view.
