How to install Timekpr in Ubuntu
To install Timekpr Parental Control Application in Ubuntu
Timekpr is a parental control application that track and control the computer usage. Using this one can limit an user’ s login time duration. This article explains the installation of Timekpr Parental control application in Ubuntu.
Features
- Provides access to limit login time.
- Option for bypassing the restriction for the user for today.
- Add additional time rewards for the restricted user.
- Time left for the restricted user is displayed using app indicator in the status bar and through notifications.
To install timekpr
Add the repository to the system by using the following command.
root@linuxhelp:/home/user1# add-apt-repository ppa:mjasnik/ppa
This is ppa for my bits and pieces.

Run the following command to update the system.

Start the installation of timekpr.

To Launch timekpr
To open timepkr application.
root@linuxhelp:/home/user1# timekpr-gui
Select Limits, Boundaries and limit access duration and enter the duration.
Click Apply the settings.
Now login into the user2 account and view the time left notification.
After the specific time duration the user account automatically logout.
To restrict the time frame, select Limit time frame.
