How to install UFRaw on Debian 8.3
UFRaw stands for Unidentified Flying Raw, an open source tool used to read and manipulate the raw images from the digital cameras. It supports the color management workflow and enables the users to apply ICC color profiles. The installation of UFRaw in Ubuntu is discussed in this tutorial.
Installation procedure
To begin with the installation, execute the nano command to open the sources.list file.
root@linuxhelp:~# nano /etc/apt/sources.list
The configuration file opens, now add these lines at end of the file. Save and exit from the file.
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main
Next execute the apt-get update command to update the apt sources-list.

Once the package is installed, open the Ubuntu dashboard and type the UFRaw package name in the dashboard. Click on the icon to run the application.
Wasn' t that an easy installation procedure? UFRaw reads raw images, using the dcraw as a back end and supports color management via LittleCMS.
