How to install Whatever on Ubuntu
To install Whatever on Ubuntu
Whatever is an open source and cross-platform, unofficial Evernote client application and can be used as an alternative to Evernote. Instalation of Whatever is very simple. In this tutorial, you will get to know the installaiton process of Whatever on Ubuntu.
Installing Whatever
Navigate to usr/local/src directory in order to install Whatever on your local machine. Use the following command for the same purpose.
root@linuxhelp1:~# cd /usr/local/src
Once you are in the directory, use the following command to download the required package.
root@linuxhelp1:/usr/local/src# wget https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/whatever-evernote-client/v1.0.0/Whatever_1.0.0_amd64.deb

Once the package is downloaded, you can install it via dpkg command - Ubuntu’ s default package manger used for offline installation. Here, gdebi command is used as gdebi is the frontend for dpkg and also it installs all the necessary dependent packages.
root@linuxhelp1:/usr/local/src# apt-get install gdebi -y

Whatever has been installed, you can open the application by running whatever command or else from the Ubuntu dash.
