Wickr is free, peer-to-peer encrypted messaging application which is available for Windows, Linux, Android and IOS. This tool is used to send audio/video, text messages, documents and pictures to a single or group of users. There are various features available to retain the ownership of your own messages or media files and to set the expiration time of your messsage. Installation of Wickr App is explained in this manual.
To install Wickr
Download the Wickr installation package from the Wickr official site by using the following command.
Run the following command to install the downloaded package.

To Launch Wickr
Run the following command to open wickr.
root@linuxhelp:/home/user1/Downloads# wickr-me
Sign up using the login credentials. Create a new account and fill the details.
Now you can start importing your contacts automatically from other sources.
To add new wickr friends, click Add friend icon.
To send files to friends, click attachment icon and start sending.
Go to Settings to Change password click Account and enter the new password.
Add your mobile number and Email to create an ID connections.
To add a notification settings, click Notifications.
To add a auto logout, enter the periods of inactivity.
To block someone, add the person to the block list.
To get out of Wickr, click Logout.

"There was a problem initializing the data base"
Impossible to proceed after running wickr-me from the console and absolutely no information in any forum on the problem. Looks like wickr is dead until this is resolved.
Additional attempts to create an account with the same login show that the name is already in use, trying to log in then fails again with "There was a problem initializing the data base"
