Rsync (remote sync) is a file copying tool used to copy and synchronize files and directories in Linux systems.
Rsync synchronizes the data from the directories, networks and disks by data remotely or locally. The indicated versatile command also performs data backups and mirroring between two Linux machines. The algorithm used by the rsync command minimizes the size of data copied by transforming the portions of files.
The user can also synchronize the files or directories from one location to another in an effective way by using the rsync command. Rsync used "quick check" algorithm by default to view the modified file size and last-modified time.
Syntax for rsync command is ‘$ rsync options source destination’.
