To install BackBox Linux-Operating System

BackBox is an open source, informative systems analysis toolkit. It includes a complete set of tools required for ethical hacking and security testing. Installation of BackBox Linux Operating System is explained in this manual.

To install Backbox

Download the Backbox 4.6 from its official website and boot into virtual machine.

Click install menu to start with the BackBox OS installation.

Choose the language and click continue.

Choose the type of installation you want to proceed further and click continue.

Click New partitions table to start preparing with the partitions.

Click continue to proceed further.

Fill the requirements for the partition and click OK.

After creating all partitions, click Install now.


Choose your current location and click continue.

Select keyboard layout and click continue.

Fill the user details for login credentials.

BackBox installation is started successfully.


Then Login to the Backbox Linux.

Now your Backbox is ready to use.

Click menu to view the available applications of Backbox.

To open the terminal right click on the desktop and start executing the commands.
