How to install California Calendar in Ubuntu

To install California Calendar in Ubuntu

California Calendar is a new calendar application for Linux systems. It uses EDS for calendar access and also allows the users to add events with natural language parser. Installation of California Calendar is explained in this article.

Installation of California Calendar

First run the below command to add third party PPA repositories.

root@linuxhelp:~# add-apt-repository ppa:yorba/daily-builds

This PPA contains daily builds of Yorba' s software, including Shotwell Photo Manager, Geary Mail, and California Calendar.  Because these builds correspond to the current state of the development source tree, they are untested and highly volatile.

After successfully installed, open the unity dash and type california in the search bar. Then click on the California calendar icon.

Now you can able to see the California calendar as shown in the below snap.

If you want to add event, click on ' +' option and add as required.

I would like to try this calendar but the command above gives:
add-apt-repository ppa:yorba/daily-builds
HTTP Error 404: Not Found
Cannot add PPA: ''This PPA does not support bionic''.
