To install Picty photo manager in Ubuntu

Picty is an open-source photo collection manager used to manage your favorite photos. It is especially designed around managing metadata and lossless approach for image handling. Picty is featured with folder view and multi-monitor support. In addition, it supports both web-based and local collections. Installation of Picty photo manager in Ubuntu is explained in this manual.

Installation of Picty

Before installing the picty, add the repository file by using the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:damien-moore/ppa
 picty Photo Manager

To open the picty, type the name in the search bar of Unity dash. Then click on the picty icon.

Now you can access the picty software, which is designed with advanced features.

To remove Picty package

Remove the picty package with the below command.
