Take Screenshots Of Your Desktop With The HotShots Tool

Hotshots is a lightweight tool for capturing screenshot which is written in C++ programming language. Using this you can take screenshots of the a specific window, specific area or entire screen. It supports various formats like, bmp, gif, jpg, png etc.


To install Hotshots tool

Add the repository, before installing HotShots tool.

To Launch HotShots

Run the following command to Launch HotShots.

root@linuxhelp:/home/user1/Desktop# hotshots


Configure the output path, capture mode, snapshot delay and after snapshot settings

Click Print, to print the screenshot.

Click open editor and add annotations, to edit the screenshot.

To take a snap of entire screen, click Grab screen

To change the settings, click Preferences
