Gunicorn, short for Green Unicorn, is a Python based WSGI HTTP server. Gunicorn has been forked from Ruby’s Unicorn project. The Gunicorn server can easily adapt to several web frameworks such as WSGI, web2py, Django and Paster.  Gunicorn is designed with both simple Python configuration and also multiple worker configurations.  It also consists of several hooks for extensibility.
