Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) is a client server interface which can be utilized by the system admins to remotely configure and boot locally connected computers which don’t have an OS.  The computer is made to contact the network server through a boot disk which has a PXE code. This enables the client machine to be remotely configured and also its Operating System to be remotely booted.
