Install and use Owncloud in Nethserver
OwnCloud is an open source software that operates as a very simple way to set up your own syncing like cloud storage system on your own server or web site. It allows people to develop and share their own apps that run on OwnCloud including text editors, task lists, and many more. The cloud storage space of Owncloud is 15 GB.
Installation of Owncloud in Nethserver
Owncloud package is inbuilt in Nethserver. First login to Nethserver
After login Nethserver click ‘ software centre’ menu.
Select owncloud package and then click ‘ add’ menu.
Click ‘ apply changes’ and the owncloud packages is started for installation
Open the Nethserver IP in your browser and type https://< nethserver_ip> /owncloud. Enter the username and password to login Owncloud.
Default username is admin and the Default password is Nethesis or 1234
The home screen of Owncloud appears as follows,
Upload the file to owncloud from your desktop. Click the upload option as shown below.
The file is successfully added to owncloud.
To Check the recent activities of owncloud, Click the activity option as shown below
To Create a document, Select the documents.
To add a new document click new document.
To add you contact details, Choose the contact option.
Click New contact and add the details.
To Change your personal settings in Owncloud, Choose the personal menu
To change the password
To Change the owncloud profile picture and add the email address.
To Change the language and set the types of notification details.
Use logout option, to logout from the Owncloud.
