How to install Cinnamon Desktop on Ubuntu 17.04
Cinnamon is a Desktop environment for Linux based operating systems which can be installed on any distributions, it is a default desktop environment for Linux Mint. It contains multi-monitor support, classic panels and improved speed. This tutorial covers the installation procedure of Cinnamon desktop on Ubuntu 17.04.
Installation procedure
To start the installation procedure, add the repository to install Cinnamon by executing the following command.
root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:embrosyn/cinnamon
This PPA contains unofficial (though probably closest to official) builds of Cinnamon releases for the latest long-term (LTS) and short-term (STS) support releases, which currently means:
* Ubuntu 16.04, Xenial Xerus (xenial) [LTS],
* Ubuntu 17.04, Zesty Zapus (zesty) [STS].
New STS and LTS releases will supersede current releases, which will result in older releases no longer maintained.
Needless to say, I will do my best to build packages as timely as possible, but some lags are going to happen due to so-called " real-life obligations" . Sorry for that. I despise them no less than you do :P
Packages are tried and tested on my daily driver machine, but regardless, everything available here is provided " as is" , without any warranty. It should NOT set your hard disk on fire or steal your puppies, but I can guarantee nothing.
Regarding Bluetooth: blueberry is the new Bluetooth configuration tool which replaces cinnamon-bluetooth. Users are strongly encouraged to use blueberry instead of the deprecated cinnamon-bluetooth package.
If you encounter some issues not documented on the official GitHub repositories (github.com/linuxmint), please let me know.

After the installation is completed, logout of the existing system. In the next login the user can choose the installed Cinnamon desktop.
Wasn' t that an easy installation procedure? The Cinnamon desktop also supports copying and moving the existing panel into new panel.
