How to install clementine music player in Ubuntu

To install clementine music player in Ubuntu 16.04

Clementine is a free, cross-platform music player and library organiser which is a port of Amarok 1.4 to the Qt 4 framework and the GStreamer multimedia framework. Installation of clementine music player in Ubuntu is explained in this tutorial.

To install clementine

Utilise the following command to add the clementine repo file.

root@linuxhelp:~# add-apt-repository ppa:me-davidsansome/clementine

Then install clementine tool by using the following command.

To Launch Clementine

Run the clementine to start the music player.

root@linuxhelp:~#  clementine

clementine
library
Click Library to view your music files and folders.
view_file
Files displays the list of files available.
list_of_files
Play list shows the list of files played.
play_list
You can browse to the Internet for more options.
browse
To know the Devices added click device.


add_device
To Play the music files

Go to Music &rarr Open file in the menu bar.
play_music
Now all the files in your library will open. Select music file and click open to play the music.
