Install Dolphin Game Emulator in Ubuntu

Dolphin is a free source emulator for Nintendo GameCube and Wii games. It saves the state of game and reload/resume it whenever necessary. It allows you to Play games on maximum resolution and in high definition. Installation of Dolphin is explained in this manual.
It requires Direct3D 10 / OpenGL 3 and 64-bit CPUs.

To install Dolphin Game Emulator

Run the following command to add the repository.

root@linuxhelp:/home/user1# add-apt-repository ppa:dolphin-emu/ppa 
 Unofficial builds for Dolphin Wii/Gamecube Emulator.
Install the dolphin-emu package for the latest stable release of Dolphin.

Then update the system by using the following command.

root@linuxhelp:/home/user1# apt-get update

Run the following command to install the dolphin emulator.

root@linuxhelp:/home/user1# apt-get install dolphin-emu

To open the dolphin emulator

Click and search the dolphin emulator from the unity dash.

Choose the Controller Settings to configure game cube controllers.

Click configure to proceed further.

Click config interface and then hit on the general tab to know about the general settings.

Then click Interface tab to know about interface settings.

To configure audio, hit Audio settings

Click on Gamecube settings to know about Gamecube.

To make changes in Wii settings, click wii.

Game ISO path settings can be viewed by hitting paths tab.
