To Install EiskaltDC++ on Debian 8.3

EiskaltDC++ is a cross-platform graphical client for Direct Connect and ADC protocols. It is compatible with DC++, FlylinkDC++, LinuxDC++ and other DC clients. EiskaltDC++ also interoperates with all common DC hub software. This article cover the installation methiod of EiskaltDC++ on Debian 8.3.

Installing EiskaltDC++

The installation of EiskaltDC++ requires prior updating of the apt sources.list file in your system. So, open the file by running the following command.

root@linuxhelp:~# nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Once the file opens, add the following lines at the end of the file.

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main

After adding the line, save and exit it.

Now you need to update the apt sources-list which you can do by simply running the following command.

root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get update
