How to install Fotoxx 17.04.3 on Linux Mint 18.1

Fotoxx is a functional photo editor software used to edit digital photos in Linux. It has several tools and also allows the users to work on artistic effects to convert a photo into a line drawing, sketch, painting and dot image. The specified free software is available in open source. The installation procedure of Fotoxx 17.04.3 in Linux Mint is explained in this article.

Features

  • Thumbnail browser and navigator, variable thumbnail size or list view.
  • Click on a thumbnail image to view or edit, or use a File Open dialog.
  • View and edit most image formats and camera RAW formats.
  • Selections can be cut out, saved, pasted, resized, rotated, edited.
  • Zoom in/out with mouse clicks or mouse wheel. Edit zoomed image.
  • Scroll/pan a zoomed image by dragging the mouse, also diagonally.

Installation procedure

To start the installation procedure, add the Fotoxx package into repository via ppa.

linuxhelp ~ # apt-add-repository ppa:dhor/myway
