To Install FreeNAS 11.3

Introduction:

FreeNAS is an open source storage operating system that allows the sharing of storage over a network. It was created in 2005 and is based on the open source FreeBSD OS. FreeNAS software can be downloaded at no cost from freenas.org.and runs on most x86-64 commodity hardware.

Installation Steps:

Step 1: Download the iso file from the official website. and make it bootable.

Step 2: Press Enter to start the installation snap1

Step 3: choose Install and press Enter snap2

Step 4: press yes to continue anyway snap3

Step 5: choose installation disk, use space key to select a disk snap4

Step 6: select yes to format the disk snap5

Step 7: Enter root password snap6

Step 8: choose Bios option as per your motherboard configuration snap7

Step 9: choose Reboot snap8

Step 10: Don’t press anything now, it will automatically reboot snap9

Step 11: configure the network interface snap10

Step 12: Enter IP into the browser and login as a root snap11
