To Install HandBrake V1.1.0 On Ubuntu-18.04

HandBrake is an open-source, multiplatform video transcoder that performs conversion of media files from one format to the other. It can be used to easily transform DVD or Bluray discs to several formats like MP4, MKV, H.264, MPEG-4, etc

Installation

Let' s first add the repository that contains handbrake

root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases

 These are the official HandBrake releases for Ubuntu. Official web site http://handbrake.fr/

HandBrake is an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded video transcoder, available for MacOS X, Linux and Windows.

After adding this PPA to your list of repositories (see " Adding this PPA to your system"  below), you can install the HandBrake gtk gui with the command

apt-get install handbrake-gtk

And you can install the HandBrake CLI with the command

apt-get install handbrake-cli
