How to install ksnip on Ubuntu 16.04

To install ksnip on Ubuntu

Ksnip is a Qt 4.8 based screenshot built for Linux. It is similar to Window Snipping Tool. It is a simple tool and you can quickly take screenshots through it, and add notes and drawings screenshots taken. Installing ksnip is very easy and this article covers the method to install ksnip on Ubuntu.

Installing ksnip

Before starting the installation of ksnip, make sure you add its repository to your system by using the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway

Once it is done, update the repo as follows.

ksip has been installed. Open it by using your Ubuntu dashboard.

You can easily snip images and edit them with ksnip tool.

You can also remove ksnip easily with the help of following command.

Don' t you agree it was an easy installation? ksnip is very easy to use. You can take screenshot of from where the mouse cursor is currently located. You can also customize the capture delays for all the capture options. You can also add text on the screenshot you have taken and customize the text by changing font, size, color etc.
