Installation Process

Download the LightTable 0.8.1 using the command provided below.

Rename and moive the extracted directory under opt directory.

[root@linuxhelp ~]# mv lighttable-0.8.1-linux /opt/LightTable

Create a soft link under the /usr/bin location to use it as the shared libraries.

[root@linuxhelp ~]# ln -s /opt/LightTable/LightTable /usr/bin/lighttable

Run the LightTable command to work in the LightTable IDE.

[root@linuxhelp ~]# lighttable

Lighttable IDE gets opened as shown in the below picture. Click on the file menu and choose New file to start coding. With this, the installation of LightTable 0.8.1 on CentOS 7.6 comes to end.
