To install nobleNote on Debian 8.3

nobleNote is an open source and lightweight application used for taking notes in the Linux desktop. It supports rich text editing and enables the users to synchronize the notes in both desktop and mobile by using Dropbox or cloud-based-sync software. This article explains the installation process of nobleNote in Debian.

Installing nobleNote

To install nobleNote, you need to add the repo to your system. Use the following command to open the sources.list file to which you should add the repo.

root@linuxhelp:~# nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Once the file is opened, add the following lines to it.

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main

After adding the repo, save and close.

Once it is done, update your sources.list file as follows.

root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get update
