How to install Pithos in Ubuntu 17.04

Pithos is a client of the Pandora.com music, where the service is available only in USA, Australia and New Zealand. It is lightweight than its pandora.com web client counterpart and integrates with desktop features like media keys, notifications and the sound menu. This tutorial explains the installation procedure of Pithos on Ubuntu 17.04.

Installation procedure

To start the installation procedure, add the repo by executing the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:pithos/ppa

The repositories are added to the target system. To update the apt source, execute the apt-get update command.

The application is installed in the target system. To open the package, type the pithos package in the ubuntu dashboard and click on the icon to run the application.
