To Install Rednotebook in Ubuntu 16.04

RedNotebook is a modern journal software with calendar support. It is created to allow the user to add tags, bold and italic characters and also supports for images, spell check features etc. Installation of Rednotebook in Ubuntu 16.04 is explained in this article.

Installation of Rednotebook

Before install rednotebook software, add repository by using below command.

user1@user1:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rednotebook/stable
[sudo] password for user1: 
 This PPA contains packages for stable RedNotebook versions.

Installation instructions for the terminal

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rednotebook/stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rednotebook

Alternatively you can add ppa:rednotebook/stable to your system' s Software Sources in the Ubuntu Software-Center.

To open the installed package, type rednotebook in the terminal as given below.

user1@user1:~$ rednotebook

Default ‘ example’ page of RedNotebook will appears.

Click Format Monospace and start working with Rednotebook.

New version that doesn't need python-webkit. You could
try the pre-release version from the daily builds PPA.

Yes, but you'll have to use external tools like Dropbox. See the
