Subsonic is a free, multi-platform web media streamer. Subsonic is a media server for Streaming Media files over Network. It is a web based music streamer, podcast receiver and jukebox that is used to enjoy music from anywhere. It also provides facility to share music files and folders. It works supports for MP3 streaming, AAC, OGG etc. It is really so simple to install Subsonic on Ubuntu 17.04 and this tutorial covers the ground on the same method.
Installing Subsonic
Prior to the installation process, make sure you add the essential repo your system by executing the following command.

You should then add a key for your newly added repository as it is very much needed for the installation.

You can now start the Subsonic service by making use of the following command.
root@linuxhelp:~# systemctl start subsonic
You shall now open your browser and give http://yourdomain :4040 as URL, the login page of Subsonic appears on your screen. The default login credential for both username and password is admin. Give those credentials and click Login.
Once you’ ve logged in you shall change the admin password.
For that, you need to choose the change password option, and give your new password. Don’ t forget to click save.
You shall now log in with new credentials.
After that, you shall setup media folder
Choose the media folder and click save option.
Later, you need to configure network settings.
Give your URL and click save option.
You will be taken to the welcome page of Subsonic.
