Audacious

Audacious is a lightweight powerful music player supported by Linux distributions. Audacious player is derived from XMMS and Beep Media Player. It supports almost all formats of video files. Supports features like drag and drop of files, edit/ create music files, fetch lyrics for the songs, set alarm etc. It is known for its low resource usage and it supports a wide range of audio formats. It can get several additional features through third party plugins. It is the default audio player in Lubuntu and in Ubuntu Studio.
