LiVES

LiVES Editing System is a free video editing software and VJ tool written in C, Perl, Python. LiVES mixes real-time video performance and non-linear editing in one professional quality application. LiVES is compatible with various effects frameworks: projectM, frei0r, libvisual and LADSPA audio. LiVES is an open source software that allows users to edit video files on GNU/Linux computing environments, as well as various Unices like BSD, Solaris, IRIX, openMosix, and OSX/Darwin. The software has been designed from the ground up to provide users with video effects, video editing, video conversion, and video playback functionality. The application can edit over 50 video and audio file formats like MPEG4, MPEG, MPEG-2, H.264, MP4, Ogg Vorbis, Ogg Theora, MJPEG, VCD, SVCD, DVD-Video, OGM, Matroska, DV, XviD, SWF, Dirac, MNG, Snow, as well as animated PDF and GIF files.
