PuTTY

PuTTy is a client program for SSH,Rlogin and Telnet. It uses network protocols for functioning. Apart from being a terminal emulator, PuTTY also serves as file transfer application and a serial console. In a nutshell, PuTTY can be used by a user to open and access a linux terminal from a windows machine. When PuTTY application is started, a window is opened and anything that is typed on that window is sent to the Linux server. The message that is sent back from the Linux server is displayed on the window.  A steady network is essential for utilizing PuTTY efficiently.
