sigil is a free, open source editing software for e-books in the EPUB format. sigil is a cross platform application, sigil supports both WYSIWYG and code-based editing of EPUB files. It also supports fully fledged editor. The aim of the project is a user friendly editor for EPUB to create documents. It also supports direct editing of HTML source code.
