The X264 is a free software library developed by VideoLAN for encoding video streams. The x264 is a software library for encoding video streams into the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC formats. It contains psychovisual enhancements which aim to increase the subjective video quality of the encoded video. It has lossless mode and also supports parallel encoding on multiple CPU’s. It provides a command line interface as well as an API.
