lm_sensor

The lm_sensor (Linux monitoring sensors) is a free open source health monitoring software tool. The lm_sensor is a hardware health monitoring tool for Linux that provides tools and drivers for monitoring temperatures, voltage, and fans. It can also detect chassis intrusion. The package contains a daemon called sensord which supports RRD and libsensor library. This is mainly used to check the health status of the hardware and check the criticality status of the target system.
