Wireshark

Wireshark, also called as sniffer or network packet analyzer, can be utilized to measure internet traffic. It is a handy tool to troubleshoot and monitor the network.  It tries to capture the network packets and displays them with detailed protocol information. It can also be utilized to filter the packet data as desired by the user. Searching for specific packet data is also possible with Wireshark. Wireshark can also be effectively used by the programmers to debug the protocol implementations.
