Zabbix

Zabbix consists of several separate modules: Server, Agents, Frontend, and Proxy. While the server, proxy and agents are written in C, the frontend is implemented in PHP and JavaScript. PHP frontend is used to access the gathered data and the core has a server daemon, written in C. Zabbix provides binary agents for most platforms and may store both configuration and gathered values in MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Oracle or IBM DB2 databases. Zabbix offers a wide range of features such as Data gathering, Flexible threshold definitions, Highly configurable alerting for any pre-defined event allowing quicker response to server problems, Real-time graphing, Web monitoring capabilities, Extensive visualization options (overviews, maps, graphs, screens), Historical data storage, Easy configuration, Network discovery, Automatic discovery of servers and network devices, Fast web interface, Easily extensible agent and agent-less monitoring methods, Binary daemons.
