Access Point

Access point is more like a communication hub as it transmits and receives data and ensures a Wireless Local Area Network.  An access point is connected to a router (wired) or a switch through an Ethernet cable and transmits the WiFi signal to the destination area. The access point applies to both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices. It is also referred as a base station or wireless router.
