NoSQL database enables the user to store and retrieve data. NoSQL database is mostly used for big and complex web applications. The reason it is named as Not only SQL is due to the fact that it supports SQL like query languages. NoSQL is generally used when there is a need to access and analyze massive amounts of unstructured data. Data which is stored remotely on multiple virtual servers in the cloud are also easily accessed through NoSQL
