AMD-V

AMD-V (AMD virtualization) is a set of hardware extensions for the X86 processor architecture. Advanced Micro Dynamics (AMD) designed the extensions to perform reiterative tasks normally performed by software to improve the use of Virtual machine performance. The AMD V technology uses the hardware that the VM manager do via the software by using the processor’s instruction set. It also does the process through emulation and simplifies them through the AMD Athlon and opteron instruction set.
