ASCII

ASCII is the American Standard Code for Information Interchange. It is a 7- bit code. ASCII character set is encoded in octal, decimal and hexadecimal. ASCII was developed from telegraph code. ASCII encodes 128 specified characters into seven bit integers. Uppercase and lowercase characters differ by just one bit and the ASCII character differs by one bit too.
