Boot

A process of initializing an operating system on a computer. Boot is a feature that initializes a computer operating system. Booting process is also called as the starting process, which covers a wide range of steps from the bootstrap to the user-space application launch.The boot directory holds all the files, which are necessary for the booting process. This directory is used for the storage of data. Booting involves various stages and the boot configuration file consists of the kernel configuration settings.
