Disk–usage

In Linux distributions, disk usage can be viewed through the df or du command. The df command just report the file system disk usage, but the du command estimate and view the disk usage. The du command stands for Disk Usage, which returns the size of the entire file system, folder, file, etc. If the user forgets to mention the file name in the du command, then it displays the disk usage of the current directory and all sub directories.
