Logrotate

Logrotate enables the automatic rotation, compression and mailing of log files. Several log files can be handled daily, weekly or monthly by the logrotate command. It is mainly used to avoid a potential risk that makes the system unresponsive due to the lack of disk space. Usually it runs once a day and checks the rules, which can be customized on a per-directory or per-log basis.
