MBR

MBR stands for Master Boot Record. It is executed when the system is booting in order to search the OS and load it into the memory. It is also widely known as partition sector that loaded into the system’s main storage or random access memory. For example, it is the 512 byte boot sector that is the first sector of a partitioned data storage device. It can also read the boot sector record of the partition which contains the OS to be booted into the RAM.
