openstack-neutron

OpenStack Neutron or OpenStack Networking is a Software-defined networking (SDN) networking project that delivers networking-as-a-service (NaaS) in virtual compute environments. Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack, a cloud operating system that controls large pools of compute, storage, and networking resources throughout a datacenter accessible through a web interface. Neutron is the cloud networking controller and a networking-as-a- service that enables network virtualization in OpenStack. Neutron has replaced the original networking application program interface (API), called Quantum, in OpenStack. OpenStack Neutron relieves the stress on the network in cloud environments, delivers NaaS in the cloud and addresses the lack of tenant control in multi-tenant environments over the network topology and addressing.
