Services

Services is a set of application that runs in the background to perform the necessary task. Services usually run in the background and perform the server applications such as databases, sound system application or scheduled applications. These can be verified using the service command. In Linux, this process is started by the kernel, and it's the first userspace process to spawn and the last one to die during shutdown.
