systemd

system is an init system in Linux kernel. systemd is the very first process that is started by the Linux when the machine is booted. It is a standard process for controlling the programs that run when the system is started. It also starts a journal of system activity, the network stack, a cron-style job scheduler, user logins, and many things when the machine is booted.
